The Knit for Wildlife Digital Coffee Table Book brings together the stories, people and wildlife behind our second Knitters in Residence cohort.
Set on the UNESCO World Heritage archipelago of Vega, this beautifully designed digital publication explores the unique relationship between the eider duck and the bird tenders who have cared for these wild seabirds for generations.
Inside you’ll find:
- Beautiful photography from Vega (by Far Out Focus, Norges verdensarv/Guri Dahl and more)
- Stories from bird tenders, knitters and conservation partners
- The complete collection of all five residency knitting patterns (also available separately as free, open-access downloads).
- Behind-the-scenes insights from the residency
- Reflections on wildlife conservation, creativity and seabird decline
More than a knitting book, it is a celebration of how creativity can help wildlife stories travel further.
